From August 25th, Friday to 27th, Sunday 1700 trail runners, from 30 different nationalities have taken the start of one of the 3 races of the Echappée Belle. Sun, solidarity, outperforming, suspense and emotion were present during this fantastic edition.
The 5th edition of the Echappée Belle was completed Sunday noon, on the Castle’s Parc of Aiguebelle, for the 65% finishers who has passed the finish line of one of the 3 courses. The beauty of the path and the friendly atmosphere, almost family, of this crossing of Belledonne have another time seduced all runners. The leadership in the victory were many. They were engaged a beautiful battle to offer us a magnificent podium.
On the Integrale, the World Champion of Trail Running in 2015, Sylvain Court won in 27:54.
Accustomed to the shortest formats, he apprehended the race with much humility. Stayed close to the other runners with more experience during the first 100k, he’s taken the lead just before the night. Very moved on the finish line, he dedicated his victory to his girlfriend and paid tribute to the organization. He would like to run “his first ultra-trail on a significative event”. This Échappée Belle will be marked in its souvenirs for ever! A lot of emotion also for Fabrice Arène who passed the finish line in 28:15 with his pacer Fanny Coyne (2nd women on the 144k in 2014). Nice surprise for this Parisian runner who made a solitary rise to get the 2nd place. 7th at the Pleynet, he managed his race and took advantage of a pleasant and soft nigh to raise on the ranking. To finish behind Sylvain “it’s almost a victory” he said on the arrival. The sponsor of this edition, David Barranger, more accustomated to the raids rather than ultra-trail, has completed the podium in 28:29. Stayed for a long time with Samuel Vergès (4th), he was able to find ressources to take a nice 3rd place. “Completey satisfied of the running of the race and of the timing” he appreciated the atmosphere and the immersion inside the mountain. Beautiful moment also on the finish line with the Pyrenean Nahuel Passerat and the Japanese Shogo Mochizuki who arrived together, after to have run most of the time together.
On women side, Alexandra Rousset, has started carefully because she didn’t know Belledonne. After a long start, the sponsor of the 5th edition was able to rest at the Pleynet to recover. Then she’s taken the lead and finished the race on 37:33 before Catherine Rion 2nd in 41:04, and Nelly Zotos 3rd in 41:43.
News for this year, the Integrale in Duo has been wan by Bénédicte and Marc Paturel in 37:21.
On the 85k, the Britanny runner Yann Guillerm, who “loves the Alps and the mountain ” created the surprise on the North Crossing of the Echappée Belle 2017. He wan in 13:46 before the Italian Simone Musazzi in 14:23 and Emmanuel Faucon in 14:30. With the women, Audrey Tanguy finished the 85k in 15:44, before Mathilde Guillaumot in 18:18 and Claire Dauchez in 18:26.
On the 47k, Nicolas Hairon et Kevin Vermeulen have beaten the record of Ugo Ferrari, and passed the finish line in 05:43. Another nice moment of solidarity on the Echappée Belle for the winners of the Ridge Track, as they decided to run together the last 27k after a fall. Thomas Cardin finished 3rd in 06:04. International podium for women with the French Line Moncelon (08:06), the Spanish Garay Zarraga Andrea (08:26) and the German Anna Janssen (08:37).
As every year, the beauty of the course and the welcome of the 450 volunteers were approved by everybody. This ultra-trail which is “one of the hardest of France, even of the world ” offered to the trail runners, followers and local of Belledonne, 3 holy days. The animations (kid’s activities, live music, discovery of the territory…), allowed to everybody to spend a beautiful weekend with a friendly atmosphere. The Échappée Belle is more than ever an adventure which lives and is divided into family or between family.

Échappée Belle 2017, 5. ročník ve znamení emocí
Od pátku 25. srpna do neděle 27. srpna se 1700 trailových běžců a běžkyň z 30 různých národností postavilo na start jednoho z tří závodů Echappée Belle. Během tohoto fantastického ročníku bylo přítomno slunce, solidarita, překonávání sama sebe, napětí a emoce.
5. ročník Echappée Belle byl ukončen v neděli v poledne v zámeckém parku v Aiguebelle úspěšně pro 65% finišerů, kteří prošli cílovou čarou jedné ze tří tras. Krása trasy trailu a přátelská, skoro rodinná atmosféra tohoto přechodu Belledonnského masivu působila na všechny běžce. Bojů o vítězství bylo mnoho a po krásných « bitvách » na trati se nabídlo nádherné pódium.
Na nejdelší trati Integrale 144km/11100m zvítězil v čase 27:54 Sylvain Court, který je mistrem světa v trailu z roku 2015. Zvyklý na kratší formáty závodů, začal závod s velkou pokorou. Během prvních 100km se pohyboval poblíž ostatních běžců s více zkušenostmi a a pak se dostal do vedení. Získal náskok do cíle, na cílové čáře věnoval své vítězství přítelkyni a vzdal hold organizaci. Chtěl absolvovat “svou první ultra-trailovou významnou událost”. Závod Échappée Belle bude mít ve svých vzpomínkách označen navěky! Mnoho emocí zde také bylo pro Fabrice Arène, který prošel cílovou čarou za 28:15 s jeho « peacer » Fanny Coyne (2. žena na 144km v roce 2014). Pěkné překvapení pro tohoto pařížského běžce, který zaznamenal velký vzestup a získal druhé místo. Na 63.km v Pleynet byl ještě sedmý, ale podařilo se mu závod obrátit a využít relativně čerstvé nohy k tomu, aby se takto výrazně posunul v pořadí. Abych skončil za Sylvainem, “je to téměř vítězství”, řekl při doběhu. Sponzor tohoto ročníku, David Barranger, nepříliš zvyklý na ultra trail, doplnil pódium, když doběhl třetí v čase 28:29. Dlouho běžel se Samuelem Vergès (4.), ale dokázal najít síly, aby vybojoval pěkné 3. místo. “Kompletní spokojenost s průběhem závodu a časem” ocenil atmosféru uprostřed hor. Krásný moment jsme také zažili na cílové rovině s Nahuelem Passeratem z Pyrenejí a Japonem Shogo Mochizukim, kteří dorazili společně poté, co většinu času spolu vedli.
V ženském závodě, Alexandra Rousset (také sponzorka tohoto ročníku), začala opatrně, protože neznala ještě Belledonne. Po pomalejším startusi odpočinula v Playnet, aby se zotavila. Poté převzala vedení a dokončila závod v čase 37:33 před druhou Catherine Rion 41:04 a třetí Nelly Zotos 41:43.
Novinku pro letošní rok « Integrale in Duo » vyhráli Bénédicte a Marc Paturel v 37:21.

Na nejkratší trati 47km, Nicolas Hairon a Kevin Vermeulen překonali rekord Ugo Ferrariho a prošli cílovou čarou v čase 05:43. Další pěkný okamžik solidarity na Echappée Belle pro vítěze Ridge Track, protože se rozhodli dokončit společně po 27km boje. Thomas Cardin skončil třetí v čase 06:04. Mezinárodní pódium pak bylo v ženském závod, když zvítězila Francouzska Line Moncelon (08:06), před Španělkou Garay Zarraga Andrea (08:26) a Němkou Annou Janssen (08:37).
Jako každý rok přivítala krásná trať i 450 dobrovolníků, kteří zde byli pro všechny závodníky. Tento ultra-trail, který je “jedním z nejtěžších ve Francii a někteří dokonce říkají i na světě”, nabídl nejen trailovým běžcům, ale i jejich doprovodu a místním v Belledonne tři nádherné dny. Doprovodný program (dětské aktivity, živá hudba, poznání krásy krajiny …) umožnily všem, aby strávili krásný víkend s přátelskou atmosférou. Échappée Belle je více než cokoli dobrodružstvím, které žije a je rozděleno v rodině nebo mezi rodinami.
“L’Échappée Mômes” pak uzavřelo víkend a dovolilo dětem, aby absolvovali své “Echappée” jako dospělí!
